The Cage is an expansion for HOME that places players inside a house filled with strange locks and various forms of confinement. The characters become prisoners of the place themselves and must find a way to escape its control.

As they search for a way out, they must also contend with whatever other beings or dangers may be trapped inside with them. The escape therefore becomes a struggle not only against the prison itself, but also against what shares it with them.

The expansion includes themes of small confined spaces and being trapped or unable to move.
