The laboratory Eagle appeared in the Space 1999 story "The Metamorph", which opened the second season and introduced Maya. When two Alphan pilots were captured by Mentor, Commander Koenig took Eagle 4 to retrieve them.
He ordered it to be fitted with a laboratory pod and with additional booster engines that were mounted on the top and were designed to increase its power and speed. These stunning models are based on the acclaimed Sixteen 12 tooling.
This model of the laboratory Eagle Transporter is 5.5 inches (13 cm) long and has a detachable pod. It is a similar size to Master Replicas’ Starship Library series.
