In Forestry, players are forest managers committed to sustainable forest management. The game challenges you to find a careful balance between harvesting resources and fulfilling contracts, while also ensuring the preservation of the ecosystem. Every action has lasting consequences for the health of the forest, and players are encouraged to make responsible choices—from planting new trees to initiating water projects. All information in the game is based on the knowledge of real foresters.
In the eurogame Forestry, each player has two workers on the board: each player controls both a Harvester and a Manager , each with their own responsibilities. The Harvester moves through the forest, cutting down trees to fulfill contracts, planting new trees, building infrastructure, and managing water to support the ecosystem. The Manager focuses on gathering resources, operating sawmills, processing contracts, and optimizing wood processing.
Players must carefully distribute their action points between both workers to make sustainable decisions, expand their infrastructure, and keep the forest thriving—all while meeting market demands.
