Malifaux is a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in the 1900s—a world of gothic horror, Victorian structures, steampunk constructs, and gunslingers.
Amid undead amalgamations, vengeful apparitions, and other things that go bump in the night, some still brave these near-lawless lands, as the Soulstones hidden in cavernous catacombs are worth every drop of sweat and blood.
The beings humanity calls the Neverborn are Malifaux’s native inhabitants.
Some are warped descendants of the world’s first denizens, while others are nightmarish ghouls shaped by bizarre spells or magically accelerated evolution.
Many Neverborn view humanity as a blight to be purged; a rare few believe people have a role in greater designs. Only time will tell.
